Montessori Advantage

Alder Ridge Academy’s core programming has been specifically crafted following key Montessori concepts and includes a balance of academic, physical, cognitive, social and emotional development.

  • Inculcating a love of learning is integral to the Alder Ridge experience. Children are taught independence; they pride themselves based on their own achievements and accomplishments rather than external approval.
  • The child-centered approach puts equal emphasis on all aspects of the child’s development and creates strong independent thinkers who are actively involved in and pace their own learning.
  • Age appropriate settings offer the right stimulation and material so children explore, question and achieve without pressure. A structured environment provides direction and helps maintain an orderly calm.
  • Small student-teacher ratios further augment individual attention offered by exceptionally qualified and trained staff. Our teachers observe students and guide them through consultation and gentle nudges as and when needed to foster growth and self-accomplishment.

Toddler Program

Toddlers aged 18 months to 2.5 years embark on their life-long journey of learning in Alder Ridge Academy’s interactive customized classrooms.

While focusing on core skill development, our age appropriate Montessori classrooms are designed so toddlers can choose their own path. As they move from one progressive station to another, they do so at will. Exploring challenges, developing skills and relishing in a sense of achievement as they master each station, they learn through guided play.

Personalized attention is guaranteed in our small classroom settings. Fifteen toddlers are paired with two highly skilled teachers who encourage their growth and development through gentle nudges and positive reinforcement.

Casa Program

Grounded with basic skills and abilities, children aged 2.5 to 6 years join the Alder Ridge Academy Casa program where we enhance their development by honing key concepts, values and capabilities.

Children in this program are provided greater instruction and greater independence. Also following core Montessori concepts, children are taught to ask questions and challenge their world, thereby reinforcing the concept of learning through inquiry. Our Casa students will emerge empowered and confident; resilient and humble.

During the Casa years, student exposure is augmented. Language: English and French, Math, Science, Technology and Arts form the core of our Montessori based curriculum.

Our mall class sizes of sixteen children to two certified teachers, ensure that each child has ample opportunity to connect with peers and instructors.
